What are Vents?
  • A suit vent is a vertical slit that extends upward from the bottom hem on the backside of a suit jacket or blazer. This is to allow for more movement and freedom around the hip area of the jacket while walking or sitting.
What Lapel Should I Choose?
  • Our comprehensive selection of lapels features all sorts of shapes and sizes. The lapel is one of the core customizations that affect the jacket’s appearance, so it’s important to know which style you’re looking for.
Can I copy customizations from my old suit onto my new order?
  • At this time, there is no immediate or direct way of ‘copy and pasting’ previous customizations to a new order.
Do the customizations cost extra?
  • Not at all—all customizations are on the house.
What fabric weight should I choose?
  • Fabric weight is how heavy the fabric of the garment is, and is measured in grams per square meter (GSM).
What is a Super Rating?
  • A Super Rating refers to the fineness of yarn used to weave the fabric. The higher the Super Rating the finer the yarn that makes up the fabric. Our luxury line of fabrics often has higher Super Ratings (up to 150). This makes the hand feel of the fabrics softer and smoother and can create a slight sheen to the fabric overall. Due to the nature of the finer fiber, fabric with a higher super number can be slightly less durable meaning we wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for your everyday work suits.
How to Care for Corduroy
  • Machine wash inside out on gentle cycle in cold water. Hang or lay flat to dry.
How to Care for Trench Coats
  • Dry Clean Only

How to Care for Shirts
  • Most of our shirts can be machine washed on a cold cycle and hung to dry. To be safe, double-check the care instructions on the tag inside your shirt to make sure. Iron on the correct setting.

What is the difference between Made-To-Measure and Bespoke?
  • Bespoke suiting is a fully custom process where a one-of-a-kind garment is made by a tailor that you work with directly. The whole process usually involves multiple appointments and takes months to complete. It is very labour intensive—and often very expensive.
  • We produce made to measure (or MTM) garments. Our MTM garments are custom-made based on measurements provided either by the customer, or taken by staff at one of our showrooms. Our showroom staff then makes adjustments to a base pattern at the showroom. If you measure at home, those measurements are put through an algorithm that does something similar to our base pattern.
Do You Provide Rental Garments?
  • We do not currently provide rental garments for special events or important dates. At Andre Emilio, we provide made to measure garments that fit your unique measurements, with personally chosen touches to fit your style, too.
Do you make clothing for women?
  • The short answer is yes, we are able to make clothing for women. That being said, our patterning process is primarily designed to flatter the male silhouette.  So although we are able to, significant adjustments to the primary pattern are usually necessary to ensure the perfect fit.
    We advise that female customers go to our showrooms to get fitted, as this way we have more control over the fit of the garments. We also recommend allowing for additional time with the order and associated fit journey in case additional rounds of adjustment are needed.
How do I know what style is best for me?
  • If you’re not sure what style you’re after, we’re here to help. Try reaching out to our Customer Experience team so they can chat with you about what you’re after.
    Alternatively, if you’ve booked an appointment at one of our showrooms, our Style Guides are both full of valuable style knowledge—and happy to share it.
Can I feel the fabric swatches before I order?
  • Yes, but you have must place and order to get the swatch book
Can you make customizations that are not on the website?
  • The short answer is yes, we are able to make clothing for women. That being said, our patterning process is primarily designed to flatter the male silhouette.  So although we are able to, significant adjustments to the primary pattern are usually necessary to ensure the perfect fit.

Do you make suits for children?
  • As a general rule, we try to avoid creating clothing for customers under the age of 18. This is because, since children are not done growing, their measurements and Fit Profiles can often change or become disrupted.
Can I order a suit jacket on its own?
  • You absolutely can. If the product you’re looking for isn’t online, simply get in touch with our Customer Experience Team to help sort out your purchase with you.
Can I make my two-piece suit into a three-piece?
  • You absolutely can.
Do your tuxedos come with satin trim?
  • Yes, our classic tuxedo and dinner jackets have satin trim as is traditional with black-tie formalwear.
Do you make tailcoats or morning suits?
  • While this look is elegant and has a wonderful history, our focus is on modern menswear. As such, we don’t produce morning suits or tailcoats at this time.
Where are your suits made?
  • We partner with a production facility in Pakistan. 
Can you do custom designs for me?
  • Yes, we can you have to contact us with your idea and we will make a special design for you.
How much will I be charged in duties and taxes for my order?
  • If your order is shipping outside of Canada, the United States, or Australia you are responsible for paying all duties and taxes incurred, and for providing your country’s customs agency with any required paperwork. Andre Emilio is unable to assist you with the process. We can, however, provide you with any receipts that may be required to help get your order through customs.
Why doesn’t Andre Emilio ship to my country?
  • We are unable to ship to some countries and territories due to high duties and taxes. Payment of all duties and taxes outside of Canada, USA, and Australia are the responsibility of the customer. Remake orders may also be subject to duties and taxes in your country. Customers frequently find the duties and taxes too high and are unwilling to pay the fee. If a customer refuses to pay the owing duties and taxes, we are unable to refund them due to the nature of made to measure garments.
Does Andre Emilio offer global shipping?
  • We ship all over the world via DHL.* For shipments outside of the US, Canada, and Australia, all related taxes and duties are not covered.
  • We do not ship to: Austria, Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Cuba, Faroe Islands, India, Iran, Russia, Republic of Korea, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Lithuania, Mexico, Philippines, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Uganda, and Uruguay.
How do I change my shipping address?

Will I have to pay taxes on my order?
  • Depending on what country your order ships to, you may be required to pay additional taxes based on the taxation requirements of the destination.

How much is shipping?
  • We are pleased to offer free shipping on all orders.
Can I expedite my delivery?
  • Our delivery method with DHL is the fastest available*. We aim to ship your order from our production facility in approximately 4-6 weeks. It will then be delivered to you 7-10 business days from the date it was marked as shipped. Please allow for extra shipping time if your order is shipping to a remote location.
Why do you need my phone number for delivery?
  • We require your phone number so that DHL can contact you during delivery, should any issues arise. DHL offers their On-Demand Delivery (ODD) through SMS messaging, allowing you to make any last-minute changes to your delivery, if required. SMS messages will only be sent if your mobile phone number is provided.
How do I cancel my order?
  • Andre Emilio garments are made based on a customer’s unique body measurements and customization choices. Production starts on the order immediately after purchase and we are unable to accept any changes to orders; customizations, measurements, fabric choices once an order has started production.
My account is locked – what do I do?
  • Clearing your web browser cache can often resolve simple login issues. After clearing your browser cache, ensure you restart the browser
  • Resetting your password if you are still unsuccessful logging will send a password reset link to your email. If you don’t receive this email, check your junk folder and spam settings and try resetting again if needed.
How do I email Andre Emilio Customer support team?
  • We recommend you look for your question in our Help Center and attempt the ticket submission form before reaching out via email.

Can I use two coupons at once?
  • The majority of our coupons cannot be stacked, meaning you can only use one at a time.
Will I need to pay sales tax on my order?
  • Whether you need to pay sales tax on your order depends on where you live.

  • In the world of online shopping, sales come and go quickly. As a rule of thumb if you see a deal that you like, snap it up before it is gone as we don’t honor sale pricing once the sale is over.

I’m having trouble checking out. What do I do?
Here are a few common things that might be getting in the way of you checking out, and steps to fix them.

  • Try resetting your browser and clearing your cache
  • Try disabling the ad blocker and attempting checkout again

Can I buy now and measure later?
  • In order for us to make your garment, you need to send us your measurement profile. You have 14 days after you purchase to send us your measurements and complete your order.
Can I hold my order?
You can hold your order for up to 14 days following the date of purchase before the order goes into production. This allows you to:
  • Confirm or update your measurements
Why is my order on hold?
There are a few reasons your order may be on hold; some of them can be resolve by you and others require the assistance of our Customer Experience Team.
  • Missing measurements
  • Missing customizations
  • Held upon request
How do I check my order status?
  • You can view your order status by logging into your account on the website and checking your Order History.
How secure is my payment? Do you have my credit card information on file?
  • We takes many active steps to ensure the absolute safety of your credit card and personal information. We process all credit card sales via a fully secure and reputable third party payment processor and do not keep full credit card information on record.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credits including:

Can I pay with a prepaid Visa or MasterCard Card?
  • If your prepaid Visa/MasterCard has enough value to cover the entire cost of your order then check out and pay as normal.
Will I have to pay extra customs charges?
